      <image:title>Our Mission - Our Mission</image:title>
<image:caption>The mission of the program is to provide music education for underserved populations, to support pedagogical initiatives around the world, and to create cross-cultural musical connections. We pursue our mission by teaching students stringed instruments, while instilling in them the important life lessons of self-confidence, dedication, and the desire to excel. To achieve our goal, we train future pedagogues to work with these young students. This provides the teachers with an opportunity to develop their abilities in a broad array of teaching environments. By bringing together students and teachers from different backgrounds, we facilitate deeper cultural exchange and understanding. The coupling of diverse students and teachers provides the opportunity to establish relationships, develop compassion for different cultures, and nurture the discipline and confidence that results from both learning and teaching. Our program seeks to unite our world through the artistic medium of music. — Ching-Yi Lin Executive Director Bridging Cultures With Music does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, color, gender, gender identity and expression, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, or medical history. We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity and believe that no person should be excluded from participation due to any of the above factors. We believe in an inclusive working environment for our participants and volunteers and will seek to work with organizations that share these same beliefs.</image:caption>
